Building Permit Fee

These fees are calculated on a percentage basis according to the valuation of the work with the exception of some permits with flat fees, (i.e. roofs, siding, windows, etc).

Plan Review Fee

For permits that require plan review, this fee is 65% of the building permit fee.

State Surcharge

Applied to permits according to Minnesota Statute 326B.148

Sewer Availability Charge

Where applicable, this fee is determined by Metropolitan Council Environmental Services.

Assessments

If necessary, amounts are determined by the Engineering Department.
