The City is currently completing a project to update elements of the Guidant John Rose MN OVAL that have outlived their useful life. The $3.9 million project has been funded by Minnesota Capital Investment Bonds. 

The project entails three main components: 

• Updates to the rink refrigeration system
• Updates to the underground drainage system
• Updates to the safety padding system
• ADA access improvements

The project is planned for completion by the end of 2023.
