Passports

Start Planning Early

Whether you are planning an exotic vacation or a fishing trip across the border, you will soon need a passport to reenter the United States. It takes an average of six weeks from the date of application to receive your passport, so if you are planning a trip, visit the Roseville License Center early.

To get a passport, you must provide specific documents that establish your proof of citizenship and proof of identity. For a complete list of requirements and acceptable documents, visit the United States Department of State website or call 651-792-7010.

Special Passport Applications

Hand-carry and special-circumstance applications (i.e. Peace Corps, military, special no-fee passports), require an appointment. Appointments will be scheduled Monday through Friday only.
